Camps International are an award-winning expedition specialist that offer life-changing responsible travel experiences throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America. We have been working with Camps International for over six years; in that time we’ve worked with them side-by-side and taken care of all of their branding, website, marketing material, social media and print copy.
The Camps branding has now expanded to include numerous logos across four continents which have featured on everything from vehicles and signage to the clothing of thousands of volunteers. Every new country that is welcomed into the Camps International family is always given it’s own unique branding – complete with a logo inspired by an iconic animal native to that country – such as the Malaysian orangutan for Camp Borneo, the African elephant for Camp Tanzania or the spectacled bear for Camp Ecuador.
We have produced a huge variety of print copy for Camps; from stationery to banner stands, flyers, DVDs, guides and brochures to name but a few.
Due to the scale of their operations – 15+ camps, 150+ staff and more than 5000 volunteers spread over four continents – the Camps International website needed to be flexible and expandable, but also connect their extensive trip catalog with an online community network. Our solution was to design a content managed travel website that included an online TV channel, a custom social network to connect their travellers, and a WordPress-powered blog system. We allowed for flexible simple content updates using informative image slideshows, RSS feeds, adaptable sidebars and a chunky footer for all of their social networks (and ‘The Projectometer’ which keeps track of their project stats.)
Wired Canvas have been truly instrumental in the growth and continued success of Camps over the last seven years. Their impressive understanding and talent in design, branding, techie stuff and general sales and marketing make them stand out from so many other ‘web companies’. You give them a brief and not only do they inherently understand the ultimate aim of the project but will also bring a lot to the table that you may not have considered. A pleasure to work with. Thanks guys.
Matt Lacey – Chief Operating Officer
Camps have a large and highly engaged online community, with thousands of active online fans and followers who regularly share their travel experiences, advice, videos and photos across a range of social networks. We built Camps Social (a custom social network) and Camps TV (an online TV channel) into their own website so that they could nurture their own bespoke online community alongside their other social website pages. We also help set up and grow their Facebook, YouTube and Twitter networks to great success; for example, their Facebook page has attracted thousands of fans, with hundreds of weekly interactions on average.
We continue to work with Camps International on a very regular basis and are proud to play a role in their amazing work worldwide.
