We'll have some fun and laughter with,

Bournemouth Art Coincidences

Posted by Rob in brain pulp

There appears to be a lot going on art wise around the town... or it could be just a series of coincidences?

In one night:

A private view of Michael Shaw's Sculptures at The Study Gallery of Modern Art ...

 Ishihara at Sixty Million Postcards

and an Arts Institute (Fine Art) showing at The Winchester.

This is my art entry for the night:

Crossing The Line

Posted by Rob in brain pulp

martincoynecrossingthelinesm.jpg

Photographer Martin Coyne is exhibiting some of his photographs from his trip to Malawi last year.

They were taken whilst he was working on an AIDS/HIV education video  for a charity. I think he's managed to capture the African experience without pointing his lens directly at it.

The exhibition is on at The Study Gallery , Poole from 18th till  26th November.

Edit And Keep This True

Posted by Rob in brain pulp

I have so much to write that I don't write.

So little time to write what's left after I worry about what I haven't written.

But does it really matter because nobody's listening*...

(ha aha haha ah aha ah ahaha)

 * this should actually be 'reading', but for the purposes of this sentence structure - listening fits better.

Shredding

Posted by Rob in brain pulp

Just found 'shreds ' on youtube.

People are rerecording the audio for music videos, with comic effect:

Here Hair Here

Posted by Rob in brain pulp

Seb's been growing his hair for charity since April, he's always had it shaved since he was 5. There's talk of him keeping it.

I thought I'd run through a few options... seb2.jpg

Which is your favourite?

Painting Dudu's

Posted by Rob in brain pulp

I painted a picture tonight for the first time in a year.

I spent most of it chasing dudu's (Swahili for insects) around the canvas.*

It's probably no good (doo doo), the sun went down before I could see what I'd done.

*No insects were harmed.
